I know I’m late to the party, but I’ve finally allowed myself to be sucked in by Minecraft. Partly because it’s addictive, but also partly because as an educator, I see so many positive educational benefits to Minecraft. My middle school students are obsessed, and it’s often the topic of conversation, writing, and class projects. The creepers are my favorite. My favorite to avoid, of course. Ssssssssssss BOOM! But with Minecraft on my mind, creating a new hand-carved soap design was inevitable.
Which brings me to the question… what does a creeper SMELL like? That’s where YOU come in! Got a clever idea? Suggest a scent for the new creeper soap design and if it’s chosen, you’ll win a free bar before the soap is officially released! Clever descriptions to go with your scent ideas are highly encouraged! I will give credit to you on the on the scent tab for the soap’s product page, too, where you’ll be forever immortalized as being oh-so-clever, and to thank you for contributing your fantastic idea to the design.
So how do you enter? All you have to do is reply to this blog post with your suggestion. The contest will run starting Monday, October 27 and end on Thursday, October 30. Winner will be announced on Halloween via social media (Facebook and Twitter) and the winner will be notified by email, so please use one you can access when posting your comment. (your email is hidden to the public but I can see it on my end!) The winner must be a resident of the U.S. or Canada, sorry! Once the new scent supplies have been acquired and the new scent created, the winner will receive a free bar of the creeper soap with their scent used. Please note that it may take up to two weeks from winner notification to acquire and prep the new scent and get the fresh creeper bar shipped. This soap is a fan made parody design and not licensed nor endorsed by Mojang AB.

P.S. I KNOW it’s been super busy around here (I’ve been wanting to get this contest off the ground for like a month!) and a lot of the most popular designs are currently sold out. Please know that I’m working as quickly as I can to keep up with the pre-holiday rush – you guys have bombarded me and I thank you for all of the orders! My usual holiday rush begins just after Halloween, but this year I’ve been swamped for the past three weeks already, and I don’t see it slowing down anytime soon.
